I Built a SaaS in 48 Hours Using Only AI Tools
A step-by-step account of building and launching a fully functional SaaS product using v0, Cursor, Supabase, and Vercel in a single weekend.
Last weekend I challenged myself to build and launch a complete SaaS product using only AI tools. Here's exactly what happened.
Hour 0-4: Design & Planning
Used v0.dev to generate the landing page, dashboard, and authentication flows. The entire UI was done in 4 hours, including responsive design.
Hour 4-12: Backend
Set up Supabase for the database, auth, and real-time features. Cursor helped write all the API routes and database queries with minimal errors.
Hour 12-24: Core Features
Built the actual product features -- a team task management tool with real-time updates, file attachments via Vercel Blob, and email notifications.
Hour 24-36: Polish & Testing
Used AI to generate comprehensive tests, fix edge cases, and optimize performance. Lighthouse score: 98.
Hour 36-48: Launch
Deployed to Vercel, set up Stripe for payments, created marketing materials with AI, and launched on Product Hunt. Result: 200 signups on day one.
